Dweorg
The Dweorg are majestic beings, as much a part of the mountains and earth as the very rocks themselves. Their skilled hands are renowned throughout the Martial Planes for their masterful craftsmanship. Despite their rugged appearance and love for ale, they carry themselves with a deep sense of pride in their heritage. Formed in the fiery depths of the earth, the Dweorg are a hardy species that have stood the test of time.
The last remaining bastion of their kind lives in the immense halls of Donn, known as Tech Duinn. This land is devoid of color, but rich in history and tradition.
The siege upon Tech Duinn by the Liche Timmoneous Nagash was a dark chapter in the history of the Dweorg, a time when their very existence hung in the balance. The undead horde descended upon the majestic halls like a shadow, led by the malevolent presence of the Nagash’s wight general.
The Dweorg, fierce and proud as they were, stood resolute against this unholy onslaught. But Timmoneous Nagash, with his dark sorcery and twisted cunning, proved to be a formidable foe. He summoned forth legions of undead led by powerful wights and wraiths, twisting the very earth itself to his will. It was Oxivius Soulstealer guided by the Dweorg smith Flennatius, who ventured deep into the halls of Tech Duinn to confront the Liche’s wight general and forever seal the gates to the afterlife under the mountain.
With the fall of the mist that had shrouded the lands around Tech Duinn for centuries, a new dawn broke upon the Dweorg and their ancestral home. The siege by Timmoneous Nagash had left deep scars upon the halls of Donn, but it had also kindled a fire within the hearts of the Dweorg.
The ancient runes etched into the walls of Tech Duinn glowed with a newfound radiance, pulsing with magic that had long been dormant. The Dweorg smiths and artisans work tirelessly to restore their once-glorious home, shaping stone and metal with a skill unmatched in all the Material Planes. From the depths of their cavernous workshops came wonders beyond imagination - swords that gleamed with an inner light, armor that could turn aside even the deadliest blows, and artifacts imbued with the very essence of magic.
