In the shattered world of Mistfall: Armageddon, the Mist has fallen, and the truth of reality is laid bare. Magic is real, monsters are real, and the blood in your veins might not be purely human.

The very first choice you make in character creation is Step One: Choose Heritage. This is your lineage, your nature, the "truth written upon your bones". It's the unyielding foundation upon which your nurture, your training, and your scars will be built. Your heritage determines your starting traits and shapes your innate potential.


So, who are you, really?


The Human Baseline (With a Twist)

Pure-blooded Human You might be "cheap and expendable fodder in the realm of divine and infernal beings", but don't underestimate humanity. In a world of warring supernatural legacies, being purely human is its own kind of uniqueness. This heritage is defined by resilience and potential.


  • Why Play a Human? Humans possess the latent capability for psionic magic. They are the ultimate blank slate, starting with a balanced 2 in all characteristics and the powerful Adaptable trait, giving you a head start in skills of your choice.


The Angel-Blooded


Nephilim You are the offspring of angels and humans, an ancient and imposing being. Your heritage makes you an outcast from the celestial realm, yet mistaken for an angel by mortals. You are long-lived, with intricate tattoos that can store magical energy.


  • Key Features: Nephilim are born with a deep, luminous soul, starting with a 3 in your Soul characteristic. You begin play with the Wings trait and an additional Divine trait of your choice.


The Infernal-Touched


Cambion Born from the union of an infernal entity and a human, you are marked by an otherworldly beauty that conceals a dangerous heritage. Your eyes are often pools of black with a white iris , and you possess innate magical talents and heightened senses.


  • Key Features: A Cambion's power is tied to the rigid hierarchy of Hell. You begin with the Demonic Visage trait and must choose an additional trait from one of the seven noble houses of Hell, tying your destiny to a powerful demonic lineage.



The Fae & The Primal


Fae Hybrid Your lineage comes from the Fae, beings renowned for their "cunning and manipulation". You exude a magnetic, captivating energy and an "otherworldly charm and allure that is impossible to resist". You are a natural-born trickster, con artist, or seducer.


  • Key Features: Your Fae blood makes you a natural at social maneuvering. You start with a 3 in your Influence characteristic and the Unearthly Glamor trait.


Gnome You are small, mischievous, and notorious for an "insatiable desire for wealth". Gnomes are masters of trade with a "shrewd business acumen", found wherever profit can be made.


  • Key Features: Your life revolves around economics. You start with a 3 in your Affluence characteristic and the Diminutive trait, making you harder to target.


Fomorian You are a towering, blue-skinned warrior of Dun Balor, possessing physical size and strength that are "unparalleled". As a descendant of the mighty Fomorian King Balor, your intimidating aura strikes fear into your enemies.


  • Key Features: You are a bastion of raw power. You start with a 3 in your Physicality characteristic and the Giant trait.


Dweorg You are a majestic being, "as much a part of the mountains and earth as the very rocks themselves". Renowned for your masterful craftsmanship, you are a member of a hardy, proud species forged in the fiery depths of the earth.


  • Key Features: You are a natural builder and warrior. You start with a 3 in your Physicality characteristic and the coveted Shaper trait, granting you the ability to craft magical items.



Your Nature is Set. Your Destiny is Not.


Your heritage is just the beginning. It's the "unyielding, intrinsic force" that sets your path. But it is your choices, your training, your class, and the scars you earn battling your Nemesis that will ultimately forge your legend.
